Who we are.
With an insurance background and knowledge dating back to 1983, our founder, Jeff Farmer, established W.J. Farmer Insurance in 1997. In 2015 he merged with his daughter Amy’s five year old agency and together formed W.J. Farmer Insurance Agency, LLC.
Where we serve.
Servicing the needs of the entire states of New York and Pennsylvania, we work with the Erie Insurance Company and other major and regional insurance carriers to provide a full range of personal, business and life insurance products. With employees in both upstate and downstate New York, we are uniquely situated to meet the needs of all of our clients throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Specialties include auto and home insurance as well as package insurance for a wide range of small and medium sized businesses. With over over 10 years of average experience per employee, we are well suited to meet the insurance needs of our personal and business customers alike.

A Word From the Man Who Started It All
I won’t bore you by saying we provide good service, great prices, service guarantees and all that stuff. Every insurance agent offers these things and wouldn’t be in business without them. However, I will say that we are very good at what we do. We do answer the phones when you call, or call back asap if we can’t answer right away. We value your business and work to prove it to you every day. If you call after hours, the personal telephone number of someone on our team is listed so that you can reach us in an emergency. The office may be closed, but we are never far away.
